From maternity bundles for mother and baby to nappies, formula milk, clothing, toys and equipment for children aged 0-18 years, AberNecessities recognises the importance of meeting the basic needs of a child in order to give them the best start possible.

Our Impact
Sadly, 21.8% of children across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire are living in poverty. The charity has seen an immediate and sustained surge from families with pre-existing vulnerabilities as well as from those experiencing loss of employment and financial insecurity for the first time.
Since launching in March 2019, AberNecessities has helped over 10,000 children across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. To us that means, over 10,000 full tummies, over 10,000 pairs of cosy hands and feet and over 10,000 smiles.

International Woman’s Day
In 2023, AberNecessities was honoured that Save the Children UK chose our Founder, Danielle, as one of their “cost of living champions” for refusing to ignore the consequences of declining incomes across the UK. They believe, as do we, that Danielle has demonstrated the transformative power of women in difficult times.
AberNecessities is a proudly female-led organisation which brings together the local community to support families facing extreme financial hardship and we are determined to succeed in our work for change - because No Child Should Go Without.
Danii said: “I am very proud to be a woman. I feel very proud to work with and for women and AberNecessities champions female empowerment. We're strong, our bodies do amazing things. When we look at our children, we need to empower each other and make each other feel good about the fact that we've brought another life into the world.
